Frequently asked questions:
Can I pick up or touch the butterflies or animals?
We ask that our guests not touch or feed the butterflies or any of the other critters. The butterflies are extremely fragile and can be damaged very easily. Please also watch your step as sometimes they are resting on the walk ways. We also ask that visitors do not pick flowers or any other plant foliage as we work hard to make our gardens look their best.
Do you sell butterfly kits?
We do not sell butterfly kits. Here are some of our suggestions for where you can find them:
Do you offer guided tours?
Our space is a self-guided butterfly containment facility. However, we always have staff available to interact and share their knowledge.
Is your facility fully accessible?
Our facility is accessible via wheelchair and stroller. We have benches located frequently around the greenhouse for those who need to rest while enjoying our gardens. Bikes and scooters are not permitted.
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes. They can be purchased in the gift shop. Please contact us for more information.
Do you accept debit or credit cards?
Yes. For both admission and the gift shop, we accept debit, credit cards and cash.
How old do you have to be to visit alone?
Children must be at least 12 years old to visit without being accompanied by an adult.
Can we take home any 'treasures' we find?
All butterflies and/or parts must stay within the facility as per the CFIA, as they are not native to this region. All of our butterflies are imported from around the world. All plant material must also stay within the facility as it has come in contact with our imported butterfly species.
Can we take photos and videos?
Absolutely! Please feel free and don't forget to tag us on social media using @butterflyworldcoombs

Do you sell food or drinks?
We sell a small selection of juice boxes and soda. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy over at our outdoor picnic area, located by the parking lot. Please note, we don't allow food items within the facility.
